Waking up to Snow on the 24th of January was better than Christmas morning 2020.
Sledging down Terrace Field, building snowmen in Richmond Park. For the first time in a long time, we saw the people of Richmond having fun together….separately, but together. A joint activity that everyone could take part in, It felt good to hear children’s laughter and exhilarating to be doing something different.
Although the joy was tinged of worry, should we be having fun? Should we even be out when so many others are? But I needed it, after the terrible weeks previously, having an hour of fun refiled my reserves and I retreated to lockdown a little happier than before.
